Joining the Quantum Aoteāroa team in mid 2024, Lahaina brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with her, to her role as a Financial Adviser-Mortgage Specialist.

Born and raised in Tokoroa, moving to Hamilton for her high school & university years, Lahaina spends most of her time between Kirikiriroa and Tairāwhiti nowadays, with a plan to focus servicing Huntly to Tokoroa.

Together with husband TK, they’re raising 4 beautiful children, and wearing multiple hats as players, coaches, managers & referees, on and off the courts and fields!

Lahaina has long understood that money makes the world go round.  Holding degrees and diplomas in Business Analysis-Financial, Accounting, and Adult Education, she’s fluent in budgeting, financial analysis & planning, debt-consolidation and problem-solving.

Her work-pedigree and experience have established a clear pathway to becoming an expert Financial Adviser, with roles such-as Collections Officer & Training Co-Ordinator with IRD, Financial Budget Adviser with Te Runanganui O Ngati Porou, including 6 years of financial roles with the Ministry of Justice.  Currently, Lahaina’s fulfilling her passion to help educate Māori and Pasifika communities in her role as a Progressive Homeownership Adviser at Te Runanga O Kirikiriroa, where she regularly holds Homeownership Workshops.  It's no wonder she’s taken that final step in gaining her Level 5 qualification in Residential Property Lending, because like Quantum, she wants to make sure access to homeownership is a reality for every kiwi.

Lahaina’s on a mission to get us all educated on the value of great savings habits and how they lead to achieving financial goals, building financial freedom and creating those essential safety nets.

As a homeowner, the next step is to build a portfolio of investment properties that open the door to a legacy of change for her family.  She explains, “Bad financial habits come with a lack of financial education.  We all need to upskill ourselves around financial literacy and pass on good financial habits to our next generation. I want to support kiwis with their financial aspirations, especially Māori and Pasifika.  I want to be that person who reminds them that they’re able to achieve financial goals if they’re willing to put in the work with me!”
